Adriano Cabral is the Assistant Professor of Acting at the University of Nevada, Reno and coauthor of Here’s How to Teach Voice and Communication Skills to Transgender Women. He has experience teaching at the University of West Georgia, New School for Arts and Academics, and Arizona State University. He holds his MFA in Theatre Performance from Arizona State University and BA in Musical Theatre from Rhode Island College. Cabral is a proud member of the Voice and Speech Trainer’s Association (VASTA) and a certified teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework®Knight-­Thompson Speechwork, and Reiki Master.

As an actor, Adriano has performed around the globe. He has worked on projects in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Japan, Colombia, and Indonesia in theatre and film. He continues to pursue his own acting career while following his love of teaching. The students he has coached can be found on Broadway, touring nationally, starring on Netflix original series, and pursuing their own education further. His clients have won awards for musical theatre excellence and scholarships for academic success.
